Mazzer Super Jolly S ELE On-Demand professional espresso grinder from Astoria
Electronic coffee grinder with a flat 64 mm gently rotating disc grinder and a stepless micrometric grinding adjustment
The Mazzer Super Jolly S - Astoria Edition is the next step towards a high-end professional espresso grinder. With the special grinding of its grinding discs, it delivers a higher extraction rate than comparable machines. It has a control panel and automatically provides up to 12 dosing units, which are dispensed at the touch of a button via the electronic dosing control. The dispensing quantity can be set for both single and double dosing. Another very useful function is the portion counter, which shows the already ground coffee portions on the display.
The continuous grinding level adjustment is done on the rotating ring under the bean container. The electronic dosing system means that the desired amount of coffee is always dispensed at the touch of a button. This ensures that the quality and quantity of the ground coffee is always consistent and is therefore the starting point for a successful espresso.

Nice to Know
With flat disc grinders, the beans are ground between two grinding discs that are placed on top of each other. One of the two discs is driven by a motor and the other disc is fixed. The distance between the two discs is slightly larger on the inside than on the outside. The bean passes between the discs from the inside, is broken up here and then transported further outwards by centrifugal force. Since the grinding discs are closer together on the outside, the bean is ground ever finer. To adjust the degree of grinding, the distance between the discs is changed.
