Eureka Mignon Silenzio 16CR
The perfect entry-level espresso grinder for the home. Compact, quiet and high quality.
Even at first glance, the Silenzio 16CR differs from most other devices of this type. The entry-level grinder impresses with its well thought-out design with compact dimensions and a solid base. With its angular shape, the manufacturer Eureka has created a real eye-catcher with an appealing look for the aspiring home barista.
The espresso grinder is solidly made. The diameter of the grinding disc and the low speed of the motor ensure low grinding temperatures and prevent the escape of aromatic coffee oils. The correct grinding level can be set sensitively and conveniently using an adjusting wheel (top left). The patented 4-point suspension of the grinder can fully demonstrate its strengths here. The timer can be controlled mechanically. Once the timer has been set, the grinder always dispenses the same amount of coffee at the touch of a button. You can also switch the stepless 50mm steel grinder to manual operation. The grinder is also equipped with ACE technology, which prevents the ground coffee from clumping and ensures that the output is consistent in quantity and quality.

The perfect grind for espresso preparation
If you ask experienced baristas about the perfect espresso preparation, the first thing that comes to mind is not only the quality of the coffee beans but also the degree of grinding of the raw material. The more homogeneously the coffee grounds are ground, the more evenly the hot water in the coffee machine will flow around the grounds under pressure and the more evenly the desired aromas will be extracted. A good coffee grinder is therefore always the first step to perfect enjoyment.
Conclusion for whom is the Mignon Silenzio coffee grinder suitable
The Eureka Silenzio 16CR is the entry-level grinder designed for the aspiring espresso connoisseur at home and offers a great price/performance ratio. It impresses with its quiet operating noise. The grinding level and grain size are infinitely adjustable so that the optimal coffee grounds for an espresso are achieved. With its excellent performance, solid workmanship and long service life, this model is worth its price.
Nice to Know
With disc grinders, the beans are ground between two concave grinding discs that are placed on top of each other. One of the two discs is driven by a motor and the other disc is fixed. The distance between the two discs is slightly larger on the inside than on the outside. The bean passes between the discs from the inside, is broken up here and then transported further outwards by centrifugal force. Since the grinding discs are closer together on the outside, the bean is ground ever finer. To adjust the degree of grinding, the distance between the discs is changed.
