VBM Vibiemme New Domobar Junior Digital Coffee Machine
Modern 2-circuit portafilter classic with heat exchanger and digital control via a TFT touch display
Enjoy the wonderful aroma of freshly ground coffee and the atmosphere of an Italian espresso bar every day. The VBM Vibiemme New Domobar Junior Digital is your perfect companion for the highest demands on perfect coffee preparation and stands for absolute espresso enjoyment. The timeless 2-circuit coffee machine with heat exchanger and E-61 brewing group makes operation much easier thanks to the electronic control via its TFT touch display . This is sensibly supplemented by pressure profiles for coffee extraction. It is probably the most compact 2-circuit portafilter machine on the market. A 1.1l brass boiler is responsible for constant coffee preparation and uses dry steam to ensure very fine-pored milk foam for coffee specialties. The two heating systems work quickly and effectively, so that the machine is ready for the first quick coffee after just 10 - 12 minutes and the massive E-61 brewing group is also heated through.
At a glance:
- dual-circuit coffee machine with heat exchanger

Compact portafilter for every day
The New Domobar Junior Digital is a very impressive coffee machine despite its very compact external dimensions. On the inside, however, the New Domobar Junior Digital is a real size: the boiler volume and heating output are very well dimensioned. The two separate heating circuits ensure that it heats up quickly. The very compact portafilter machine is also, as is typical for VBM, cleanly constructed and solidly manufactured. Particularly intelligent details make this 2-circuit coffee machine with its heat exchanger a perfect work tool. The brewing group preheating using an optimized thermosiphon ensures that the E-61 group always has the optimal temperature and does not overheat. The desired brewing temperature can be set using a controller on the TFT display. The 1.7l water tank is located under the cup tray and can be easily refilled without having to completely clear the cups every time. The design and the technical equipment with heat exchanger for coffee and steam boiler ensure relaxed working and very consistent results in the cup, especially with increased cup output.
The patented VBM E-61 brewing group
The new VBM Domobar Junior Digital combines proven E-61 technology with modern design and new technical features. The machine is controlled via a TFT touch display. The temperature for both coffee preparation and steam is controlled electronically. In 1961, the massive E-61 brewing group developed by Valente for Faema and the associated portafilter technology was a true revolution that is still used in many espresso machines today. Since then, boiler technology has been the first real innovation in the field of espresso machines. Steam and coffee water are each prepared in separate systems and are set up in completely separate systems. VBM uses the perfection of the E-61 group in conjunction with digital control technology, thus combining tradition and innovation. The digital boiler system improves the result through better temperature control and saves energy.
VBM Vibiemme - portafilter machines with history
VBM, pronounced Vibiemme , was founded by Ernesto Valente in the late 1960s. Valente had previously worked for Faema and was the inventor of the E-61 brewing group . The E-61 brewing group revolutionized espresso machine technology. For the first time, an electric pump was used to build up the required brewing pressure. The system with a boiler and heat exchanger as well as a massive brewing group with an integrated pre-infusion chamber was the basis of our modern coffee culture.
In 1978, the developers at VBM were the first to build the E-61 brewing group into a small, compact espresso machine - what was intended as an experiment quickly captured the hearts of espresso lovers all over the world as the legendary Domobar espresso machine and brought a real espresso experience into the home.
Conclusion:
The New Domobar Junior Digital is perfect for the advanced barista in the home . It is absolutely well thought out and impresses with numerous practical details, wonderful design with clear lines and beautiful polished stainless steel surfaces. It is probably the most compact dual-circuit portafilter machine with heat exchanger on the market and delivers a perfect interplay of the traditional E-61 brewing group with the innovative digital control technology for the daily "espresso bar experience" at home.
